The Story of Midgard Crafting
Midgard Crafting was born from a shared love of stories, chaos, and the quiet magic that books create.
What started as two book lovers surrounded by overflowing shelves quickly turned into something more: a need to bring the feeling of reading to life. Not just the books themselves—but the anticipation, the aesthetic, the community, the oh no I stayed up till 3am again energy.
Inspired by fantasy worlds, dark romance, and the comfort of well-loved tropes, Midgard Crafting creates bookish pieces designed to feel like part of your reading ritual. Blind Date with a Book packages that trust the reader to be brave. Accessories that feel like inside jokes. Little items that whisper this was made by someone who gets it.
The name “Midgard” comes from mythology—the realm of humans, where gods and monsters brush shoulders with ordinary people. It felt right. Because reading does that too. It lets everyday life collide with epic stories, messy emotions, and fictional characters who live rent-free in our heads.
And then there’s Ragnar.
Our ever-present Chow Chow, unofficial mascot, morale officer, and chaos supervisor. Ragnar is usually found overseeing packaging, judging book choices, or demanding attention at the exact moment something needs photographing. He’s a constant reminder that Midgard Crafting is built in real life—between dog walks, coffee refills, and piles of books that may or may not be “for stock.”
Everything we make is rooted in that belief:
Reading is powerful
Escapism is valid
And chaos, coffee, smut, and a fluffy supervisor are sometimes essential
Midgard Crafting isn’t about perfection. It’s about connection—between readers, stories, and the moments we steal for ourselves when the world gets loud.
If you’ve ever judged a book by its vibe, fallen in love with a morally grey character, or bought just one more book even though your TBR is already unhinged… you’re in the right realm.
Welcome to Midgard.
